Texting Program
Get Village news instantly on your cell phone!
It's as easy as texting 90210!
Residents can now stay informed of important Village current events, road closures, storm warnings, and upcoming activities through the Village of Shiloh Texting Program.
Participants will need to "opt" in to the service by texting set keywords to 90210. Each Village department has its own key word, so participants can choose to receive text message alerts from any department, or even all departments, of their choice.
Users will access their texting feature on their cell phone. In the "To" field, simply type in 90210, hit OK, and in the message field, type in one of the following keywords:
- Type ShilohAlert for breaking news on tornado and storm warnings
- Type ShilohEvents for current Village events and upcoming activities
- Type ShilohPW for Public Works on street maintenance, road closures, etc.
- Type ShilohPD for the Police Department on Amber alerts, collision alerts, etc.
- Type ShilohAdmin for public hearings, meetings, policies, ordinance changes, etc.
Hit the “Send” button on the phone. It's that easy! The process must be repeated for each desired department.
Participants can "opt out" of the service at any time by replying "STOP" to a text message. Normal texting charges will apply.
